Roam and Rest Travel is an independent travel agent, and an affiliate of InteleTravel. If you have a question about your information, write to hello@roamandresttravel.com.
What this website collects
Nothing. This site sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and loads no third-party scripts, fonts or analytics — so nothing you do here is tracked or passed to anyone else.
What happens when you enquire
The enquiry button opens a Google Form. What you put in it — your name, contact details, and whatever you tell me about the trip you are planning — comes to me by email, and is held in Google's systems as the form provider. Google processes it on my behalf and under their own terms.
I use those details to answer your enquiry and plan the trip. The lawful basis is that I am taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and, where you are simply asking a question, my legitimate interest in replying to you.
Who else sees it
If you go ahead with a booking, the details needed to make it are passed to InteleTravel, who I book through, and to the airlines, hotels, tour operators and transfer companies involved in your trip. They need it to hold the booking in your name. For trips outside the UK this will usually mean your information travels to the country you are travelling to.
I do not sell your information, and I do not pass it to anyone for marketing.
How long it is kept
Enquiries that do not become bookings are kept while there is still a reasonable prospect of the trip happening, and then deleted. Booking records are kept longer, because tax and travel-industry rules require it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask me for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, ask me to delete it, or object to how I am using it. Write to hello@roamandresttravel.com and I will answer within a month.
If you are not happy with how I have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or on 0303 123 1113.
